- Facial RecognitionWith Facial Recognition you can trigger alarms and events when specific people are detected. By setting up Allowed, Blocked and Stranger databases you can determine how your system handles each group of people.Using an Allowed database you can automatically open a door for a family member or colleague. Maybe you would like to send a notification to the relevant person when a guest arrives.Blocked databases are deigned to work in the opposite way, such as, you may want to sound an alarm when a known shoplifter is detected for example.Finally the Stranger database dictates what action to take when a face is detected which isn’t in either the Allowed or Blocked databases. You may wish to play a welcome message as a friendly greeting to new customers.
- Facial DetectionOne of the major downfalls of the traditional motion detection is the amount of false triggers from things like a tree blowing in the wind.Facial Detection allows you to massively cut down on these false events by only triggering when a human face is observed.
- Human DetectionWorking on the same principles as Vehicle Detection, Human Detection can be used to trigger events only when a person is detected. In a busy area with cars passing, bushes swaying in the wind etc. it would be almost impossible to only trigger alerts as people approach when using normal motion detection.Human Detection inspects the live video looking for human forms, walking patterns etc. so that it is able to identify a person as opposed to a car for example. You can then specify what actions are taken once a person has been detected.
- ANPRSimilar to Facial Recognition, ANPR allows you trigger events and alarms when certain number plates are detected whether this be from a White (Allowed) or Black (Blocked) database.This could be used to raise a barrier allowing staff entry to a secure car park or sound an alarm when a know fly-tipper is in the area.If you have a specific ANPR job in mind you can always ask our sales team about our RoboPlate range of dedicated ANPR cameras. - Vehicle DetectionIn some instances you may only want to be alerted or record when a vehicle is detected. There might be steady foot traffic throughout the day but only few vehicles such a courier coming to collect from a warehouse. In this case basic motion detection would be of little use as you would have constant, unwanted triggers.Vehicle Detection will analyse the cameras image and distinguish between a vehicle and a person or other any other movement. This allows you automatically trigger a specific action only when a vehicle is present.
- Perimeter IntrusionAnother pitfall of traditional motion detection is how impractical it is for busy areas. Cameras in a shop or business premises would have constant triggers as people pass by.Perimeter Intrusion offers more flexibility as once you have defined an area, you can specify for it to trigger only when something moves into the area, out of that area or either direction.If you had a camera pointing towards a shop doorway you could trigger events as somebody entered the shop rather than just walking past.
- Line CrossingMuch like Perimeter Intrusion, Line Crossing allows you to draw an imaginary line on the cameras image and then decide if you want a trigger when something crosses from side A to side B, side B to side A or in either direction.This is a really handy way to monitor when somebody enters a car park or restricted area without constant alerts for general movement.
- Crowd Density DetectionIf you need to monitor and manage high traffic areas such as retail spaces then Crowd Density Detection is a winner.It allows you to define an area of the cameras image and it then keeps count of the amount of people within that area.You can set a limit for the amount of people permitted to be inside the area and trigger events if this number is exceeded.
- Heat MapThe Heat Map function is a great tool especially in retail environments. It overlays different colours around the screen to show the amount of traffic each area has. Much like football pundits do when showing a players movement around the pitch during a match.With this you can easily see where the high traffic areas are and make informed decisions on security arrangements, product placement etc.
