How do I keep my CCTV recorder secure and GDPR compliant?
A
Simple, you just need a lockable enclosure.
GDPR law insists any information you store about a person - including CCTV footage - must be secure and away from general access.
The CCTV Code of Practice also states all recorded CCTV images must be:
“securely stored, where only a limited number of authorised persons may have access to them”.
System Q's KitVault range of lockable enclosures are an efficient, cost effective way to comply with these laws and regulations.
What are KitVault Enclosures?
A KitVault enclosure keeps your CCTV recorder and it's recorded footage safe from general public access and possible tampering.
Available in a range of sizes from extra small to large, it’s easy to pick the right size for your DVR or NVR.
They're made from cold rolled steel, with fixing holes to securely bolt the enclosure to a counter, shelf or the wall behind it.
This makes it virtually impossible to pick up your recorder and walk away with it.
When unlocked the removable enclosure lid makes screwing your recorder down and connecting it to your equipment a doddle.
A polycarbonate viewing panel means you can easily check on the recorder without opening the enclosure.
Integrated vents allow additional fans to be added to keep the KitVault's contents operating at an ideal temperature - great if it’s being stored in a warm room
The difference a KitVault makes
Here are two recorders in a security office.
As you can see, one is left exposed on the desk. The other is securely locked away in a KitVault enclosure which is bolted to the desk.
