Great for Adding a Power Source Into Network
- Mid or End Span Pairings
- Simple In-Line Design
- Up to 200M Runs
- 2A Loads
The POE200 injector can add 30W of power into a network allowing PoE cameras to be added on to the cable run after it. Runs of 100M in and out of the device are easily achievable on a standard 100Mbps network & it can be used as a mid or end span device after upper network switches.
Power over Ethernet (PoE) is a great method of supplying power to network video equipment such as IP cameras as it does away with the need for a power source local to the camera, or installing extra power cable runs to the device.
In some networks the cabling infrastructure may not be PoE so the use of a PoE injector (also known as a PoE end-span or mid-span device) such as the POE200 can be a great way to overcome this.
Simply plug the non-PoE uplink cable from, say a network switch, into the RJ45 input and the camera into the RJ45 output then connect the power lead supplied and power up, the POE200 PoE Injector is fast to install and requires no real set up. The injector uses either the spare line/end-span pair 4/5 (+), 7/8 (-) method or the data line/mid-span pair 1/2(+), 3/6(-) method to run the power.
With the ability to produce a up to 100M output with a 2A load, this offers a great solution where a PSU cannot be installed next to a PoE camera.
Compatible on 10, 100Mbps networks with maximum runs of 200 metres (100m in & 100m out) and 1000Mbps networks up to 162 metres (81m in & 81m out), this is a great unit to keep in your toolbox for an IP CCTV installer.
